This month's show takes a close look at Central Pennsylvania's only Children's
Hospital which operates on the seventh floor within the Penn State Milton S.
Hershey Medical Center. During Piccola's visit, he spoke with administrators,
physicians, and staff about the services provided at the Children's Hospital
including medical and surgical care to infants, children, adolescents, and young
adults in their outpatient and inpatient facilities. At the Children's Hospital,
pediatric specialists provide care for a variety of childhood illnesses,
including Pediatric Intensive Care and Newborn Intensive Care services, specific
areas of the facility shown to Piccola. The program also features the
construction soon to begin for a new free-standing Children's Hospital to
further benefit the community and beyond.

In this month's show, Piccola discusses the many problems
with Pennsylvania's Gaming Law since its enactment nearly four years ago.
Specifically, the program highlights Piccola's pending legislation that
includes a number of reforms to assure transparency, accountability, and a
true law enforcement presence in gaming background investigations,
licensing, and enforcement. Joining Piccola to talk about his gaming reform
proposal are leaders from the industry: Fred Gushin, Managing Director for
the Spectrum Gaming Group, a consulting agency based out of New Jersey, and
Richard Frantz, Esq., Auditing and Gaming Controls Specialist, also from
Spectrum.

In this month's show, Piccola enjoys time in the outdoors by touring
Pennsylvania Game Commission land and stocking trout with local fishermen.
During the first segment of the program, Piccola visits State Game Lands 211,
located in Middle Paxton Township, and talks with the Game Commission staff
about local projects underway and use of the game lands by area hunters,
anglers, hikers, and bird watchers. The second segment of the show features
Piccola stocking trout in Stony Creek, Dauphin. He is joined by a Fish and Boat
Commission Waterways Conservation Officer and assisted by local volunteers.

Part-three of Piccola’s Capital City International Neighborhood tour highlights
the Harrisburg Institute, a community-based initiative of Messiah College, and
the “campus” of Harrisburg University (HU) of Science and Technology. Joining
Piccola for his visit to the neighborhood’s educational community are Brad
Jones, Vice President of Community Development/Harristown Development
Corporation; Marcus Lingenfelter, Vice President of University Advancement/HU;
and Craig Dalen, Director of Community Life/Messiah College Harrisburg
Institute. Piccola’s program focuses on the two institutions which have added
to the critical mass of higher education locating in Harrisburg and helped
downtown become a nationally-recognized hub for academia.

This month's program will highlight part-two of the
International Place Neighborhood tour, an area located
within the historic business district in the City of
Harrisburg on Third and Chestnut Streets. While part-one
toured the residential quarters of the International House,
part-two of this series features the restaurants and
businesses located in the International Place Neighborhood
including Bricco, Olewine's Meat and Cheese House, Ciao
Bakery, and the El Sol Restaurant. In future months, the
program will showcase the final stops of the tour with
visits to the Messiah College Harrisburg Institute facility
and the Harrisburg University of Science and Technology.
